What Participants Share
These are honest accounts from adults who have attended our programs — in their own words, at their own pace.

Each participant comes from a different background and arrived at Charoen Suk for different reasons. What follows reflects some of what they shared after attending.
"I was hesitant at first — talking about money habits felt personal. But the session was very calm, and no one judged anyone. I walked away understanding a few things about myself that I hadn't put into words before. Small shift, but it felt useful."
"I've always known bonds existed but never really understood how they worked. The program explained yield and maturity in a straightforward way — no jargon, just examples. The simulated exercise was particularly helpful. I feel more equipped to have a proper conversation with my bank now."
"Doing the individual review was the right choice for me. I preferred the privacy of speaking one-on-one rather than in a group. My advisor was patient and asked good questions. The written summary at the end was something I referred to several times afterwards."
"Quite different from what I expected. It wasn't about budgets or numbers — it was more about understanding why I spend and save the way I do. A bit confronting at first, but the facilitator kept things gentle. Worth attending if you feel stuck but aren't sure why."
"Three half-days felt like the right amount of time. Not rushed, not too long. I appreciated that the group stayed small — only six of us — which meant we could ask follow-up questions freely. The reference booklet has been sitting on my desk since."
"I joined after a friend recommended it. My situation isn't complicated, but I'd never sat down and actually mapped it out. The advisor helped me see some gaps in my insurance coverage I hadn't thought about. No pressure to buy anything — just a clear picture, which is all I wanted."
"I found it interesting how much of our financial behaviour is shaped by things that happened decades ago. The facilitator guided the discussion carefully. I left with more questions than I came in with — but in a positive sense. It gave me things to reflect on."
"I attended because I have savings in a bank account earning very little. The bond program helped me understand what alternatives exist in the Thai market. I'm now looking at some government savings bonds more seriously. The facilitators were knowledgeable and didn't talk down to us."
"Four sessions over a month was the right pace for me — I had time between sessions to gather documents and think through questions. The follow-up call a month later was a nice touch. My advisor remembered the specifics of my situation without me needing to repeat everything."
Three Participant Journeys
These accounts illustrate how participants with different starting points found their way through our programs. Details have been adapted to protect privacy.
Khun N., 52
Money Mindset Orientation
Retired teacher who had saved diligently but felt anxious whenever thinking about the money she'd accumulated. Unsure how to feel at ease with it.
The self-assessment in session one helped her name a pattern she'd carried for years. Group discussion normalised her experience among peers with similar histories.
She described feeling more settled about her savings — not changed dramatically, but quieter. She enrolled in the Bond program three months later.
Khun S., 47
Bond & Fixed Income Education
Small business owner who kept a large proportion of his savings in fixed deposits at low rates. He'd heard of bonds but never understood how to evaluate them.
Session two's walkthrough of yield comparisons made the numbers concrete. The simulated exercise gave him practice reading bond listings without money on the line.
He reported reviewing bond options through his bank's platform with more confidence, and eventually discussing allocations with his private banking contact.
Khun P., 55
Full Financial Health Review
Recently widowed professional who had never managed household finances independently. Felt overwhelmed but not ready to commit to a financial advisor long-term.
The individual format allowed her to set the pace. Her advisor structured each session around her questions rather than a fixed agenda. The written summary became a reference document she could revisit.
She described the program as "the first time I saw my situation clearly." She subsequently engaged a licensed financial planner, better prepared for that conversation.
